Fascinating Snakes of the Big South Fork

An Interpretive Program at Blue Heron Campground, Saturday, August 6 

 

12879241333_6b5499a58e_zThe Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area announces a 45-minute, interpretive program about the different types of snakes you may find in the Big South Fork.  Please come and enjoy an evening outdoors with guest speaker Park Ranger Raymond Little for an introduction to the identification of the common snakes in the Big South Fork area and why they are important.  This fun, fact-filled evening activity begins promptly at 7:00 p.m. (ET) on Saturday, August 6, at the Blue Heron Campground.

This ranger-led program will meet at the campfire circle inside the Blue Heron Campground and is handicap accessible.  The Blue Heron Campground is located in the Kentucky portion of the Big South Fork, nine miles west of Stearns off Highway 742.  The program is free of charge and all are welcome.
