Grimes tour comes to McCreary

Senate Candidate Allison Lundergan Grimes paid a visit to McCreary County on a whistle-stop bus tour of Southeastern Kentucky. Accompanied by former Govenor Martha Layne Collins, the Senate hopefull stopped by the Senior Citizens Center to meet with suporters and deliver a brief campaign briefing to the crowd. Grimes asked for her supporters help in electing her over current Senator Mitch McConnell, saying “Thirty years is long enough.”

On Friday, Senator McConnell’s wife, former Secretary of Labor, Elaine Chao, will pay a visit to the county, appearing at the Sweet Kreations Gift Shoppe at 4:00 p.m.
