Timothy Duncan to perform at the Grand Ole Opry

Many people dream of having the opportunity to sing on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville Tennessee. On October 19, 2017, that dream is coming true for Timothy Duncan. Timothy, the son of Tim Duncan and Keysha and Josh Hasty, grandson of Ronald “Pops” and Temple Duncan, Travis and Brenda Moore and Dale and Donna Hasty, has been invited to take part in the celebration honoring the life of bluegrass great and the King of Mountain Music Dr. Ralph Stanley. Timothy, who travels with the Gospel Music group The Griffith Family, of Wartburg, TN, has also been working hard on his very first solo CD for the past 6 months.

When asked about performing on the Grand Ole Opry House stage Timothy stated that he was very nervous but excited. “Singing at the Grand Ole Opry House is going to be an honor but I’m more honored to sing in tribute to the King of Mountain Music, Dr. Ralph Stanley while singing about and to Jesus. I hope Jimmi, Lisa, Tonya, Ralph II, Nathan and the rest of the Stanley family knows that me and my family love them all very much and will always love and honor the great Dr. Ralph Stanley,” Timothy said while smiling from ear-to-ear.
