2014 McCreary Fest – Sweet Southern Comfort

Cooler weather didn’t dampen the spirits of the attendees of the annual McCrearyFest celebration this past weekend in downtown Whitley City. The festivities started Friday evening with a chili cookoff, zombie walk and a performance by Austin’s Basement. On Saturday the “Southern Confort” parade was held with Grand Marshal Edsel Blevins leading the way with Miss McCrearyFest Rachel Wells right behind. The weekend closed with performances by McCreary County’s own American Idol Alum Zach Day, followed by Dewayne Spaw and Buddy Jewel.
