How to do a Write in vote
With six candidates filing for the November 4 General Election as write ins, their names will not appear on the ballot when voters go to the polls next Tuesday.
In order to vote for a write in candidate, voters must fully mark the “Write-in” box on the ballot in the appropriate race, then legibly write the name of the candidate they wish to vote for on the line provided on the ballot.
Names not registered with County Clerk Eric Haynes’ Office of the Kentucky Secretary of State as legitimate write-in candidates will not be recognized when the votes are counted.
Each voting location has volunteer staff available to answer any questions that may arise when casting your vote.
