By: Greg Bird

The State Police is investigating another unexplained death, the third in the past two weeks.

According to a Kentucky State Police news release, detectives responded to a residence on Les Gilreath Road Friday afternoon to investigate a report of an unresponsive female.

Upon arrival Detectives found Della D. Maxwell Young, 53, deceased. The victim was found by a family member who had called 911 upon the discovery.

As in a similar case last week, where two females were found dead in their home, no foul play is suspected in the case, and the victim underwent an autopsy to discover the cause of death.

The results of both cases have yet to be released as officials are waiting for results from additional tests to be completed.

Detective Billy Correll did state that there was evidence that the victim had possible heart disease and there was no trauma to the body that could be found.

Detective Billy Correll is in charge of the investigation and was assisted at the scene by KSP SGT Greg Hill, SGT William Elliot, Detective Justin Oliver, Detective John Barnett, Detective Tracy Haynes, McCreary County EMS, McCreary County Coroner’s Office and Trooper Craig Reed.
