Darrell King Earns Academic Honors from MSC
WILLIAMSBURG, KY (05/06/2015)(readMedia)– The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Baseball team is in its final stages of preparation for the Mid-South Conference (MSC) Tournament in Bowling Green, Kentucky. As the Patriots continue to work hard on the field, numerous Patriots were honored on Tuesday for their hard work in the classroom by the conference.
Seventy-two Mid-South Conference baseball student-athletes earned Academic All MSC honors, conference officials announced on Tuesday. In order to be nominated by an institution, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved at least sophomore academic status. Community Trust Bank is the sponsor of the Mid-South Conference Academic Award program.

UC led all schools in the conference with 13 honorees. Those earning the award were seniors Lucas Bagnara (Sarasota, FL), Darrell King (Pine Knot, KY), Donovan Feenstra (Calgary, Canada), Alberto Mejia (Santo Dominbo, Puerto Rico), Anthony Webster (Spring Hill, FL), Jeremy Conley (Walton, KY), juniors Mathias Brewers (Lebanon, OH), Zach McRoberts (Hillsboro, KY), Stone Osborne (Owenton, KY), Logan Simpkins (Paintsville, KY), Cameron Smith (Louisville, KY), and sophomores Jacob Pardue (Johnson, TN) and Alex Butaud (Tullahoma, TN).
