Organizers for the annual Blazin’ Bluegrass Festival will host one of their main fundraising events, Spring Fest, this coming weekend (June 12 and 13) at the Sand Hill RV Camp on Hwy 700 just outside of Whitley City.  The Spring Fest event is held to raise money for the annual Blazin’ Bluegrass Festival in September.

This year’s Spring Fest will be held on Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.  A variety of performers will be present including:  the Chimney Rock Boys, Southern Grace, Joyful Noise, Mack Wright & Friends, the Clark Family, the Hee Haw Gospel Quartet (the Waters Brothers along with Chris and Bruce Neal), and County Line Bluegrass.  Edsel Blevins with his banjo will also make an appearance on Friday evening.

Admission each day will be $5.00 with children ages twelve and under admitted free.  Camping is on a first come basis with a $15.00 camping charge per night.  Camping fees are payable at the campground.  In addition to the hot dog and chili dinners available for purchase on Friday night, there will be fish dinners available on Saturday night.

Donations to support the 2015 Blazin’ Bluegrass will be accepted at the Spring Fest.  Local residents and visitors are encouraged to attend and support Blazin’ Bluegrass while enjoying this weekend’s live gospel and bluegrass music.
