Sharon Hollis Sets Retirement Date At United Cumberland Bank
With an eye on spending more time with her family and having time to work on her quilting, United Cumberland Bank’s Sharon Hollis has announced her retirement effective June 30, 2015.
Ms. Hollis joined the bank in 1969 as a teller. She served as Branch Manager of the bank’s North Branch for 22 years before accepting a position in the Debit/Credit Card services at the bank. She will retire as a Vice President.
She is a graduate of McCreary County High School and completed a number of American Institute of Banking courses during the course of her tenure at the bank. “I will miss the daily conversations with our customers,” Ms. Hollis said. “It has been an absolute pleasure to serve our customers and to work alongside some wonderful people over the years.”
Ms. Hollis and her husband, Gary, have three children: Chris, Stacie and Shanna, and eight grandchildren.
United Cumberland Bank President Jim Johnson said that a reception is planned for Ms. Hollis on Thursday, June 25 at the Main Office in Whitley City, with friends and family invited to join her for cake and refreshments.
“On behalf of everyone at United Cumberland Bank, I applaud Sharon’s career and the countless contributions she has made to make this bank better, stronger and more respected in the community,” Johnson said. “We wish her every happiness as she moves into a new chapter of her life.”
