Hwy 700 closed to thru traffic

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 8 has temporarily closed KY 700 (Sandhill Road) to through traffic to repair a section of the road after a collapse Sunday. The collapse, located at mile marker 13.6, occurred due to the large amount of water crossing the roadway during the weekend rains. It is estimated the repairs can take up to three weeks. Motorists may access areas east of the slide by KY 90 or KY 1045 from U.S. 27 or they may access areas west by KY 700 via U.S. 27.
