Bears everywhere

Bear sightings are on the rise again as our ursine neighbors are raising cubs and searching for food and territory.Thelma Abbott submitted the photo of a large bear raiding her garbage can on Bear Creek Road. Reader Victoria Delaughter submitted the two photos of a sighting on Williamsburg Street last week, and law enforcement officials responded to a sighting of a mother and cubs in a tree off White Pine Drive on Thursday. Readers are reminded to not approach bears when sighted.
