Mother Black Bear Sighting at Blue Heron Coal Camp

On Sunday 8/30 I was visiting the Blue Heron Coal Camp and had an encounter with a large female black bear and 3 cubs. They were actually on the road to Blue Heron about 1/4 mile east of the entrance to the Barthell Coal Camp Museum. They headed into the woods towards the Blue Heron Camp.
