- In remembrance of September 11th, Mrs. PJ Bruce’s first grade class at Whitley City Elementary School completed a special activity. Each student in the class drew a picture of the events that took place on 9-11 and placed them on a hand-made American flag. This project also gave students the opportunity to learn about firefighters, police officers, and other hometown heroes.

- Photos by Eugenia Jones The American Legion Post 115 hosted a dinner for first responders Friday evening in remembrance of the 9/11 attacks. The dinner was one of several ceremonies commemorating the event, including ones at the high school and courthouse, as well as a recognition of first responders before the football game.
