Grand Jury indicts 8
The McCreary County Grand Jury returned indictments against eight individuals Monday on charges ranging from drug offenses and assault.
Gerald Shane Strunk, of Strunk, was indicted on a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance First Degree, First Offence for allegedly having a quantity of methamphetamine in his possession on June 24.
Mark Soard, of Pine Knot, was indicted on several charges relating to a March 9 accident on Webb Warman Hill in Revelo.
He is facing three charges of Assault in the First Degree and one count of Wanton Endangerment First Degree for reportedly driving a vehicle while under the influence and striking a Honda Accord driven by Jeremiah Hill, causing serious physical injury to three passengers and creating a danger of death or serious physical injury to the driver.
Hope Grundy, of Strunk, was indicted on three charges relating to a reported burglary on August 4.
Grundy was charged with Burglary in the Second Degree and Theft by Unlawful Taking over $500 but under $10,000, as well as being a Persistent Felony Offender after a previous felony conviction in 2006.
James Decoursey, of Hopkinsville, was indicted on counts of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance First Degree and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia after reportedly being found to have over 2 grams of meth for the purpose of sale and items commonly used in the ingestion of controlled substances on July 15.
Decoursey is also charged with being a Persistent Felony Offender after previous felony convictions in 2010 and 2011.
Matthew Wilson, of Whitley City, was indicted on one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance First Degree for allegedly possessing a quantity of meth on November 16.
Louis Souleyrette, of Pine Knot was indicted on one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance First Degree and one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance Third Degree for reportedly having a quantity of Oxycodone and Alprazolam on October 22, 2014.
James Colyer, of Somerset, was charged with Assault First Degree for allegedly stabbing an individual on June 28, causing serious physical injury.
Michael Lyons, of Whitley City, was charged with Assault Second Degree for allegedly striking a female victim with a gun on August 3, causing physical injury.
He was also charged with being a Persistent Felony Offender after previous convictions in 2009 and 2012.
