One Warm Coat
As part of their second annual “One Warm Coat Drive,” Brownie Troop 7102 recently collected 410 coats by placing collection boxes at local stores, businesses, and churches and accepting personal donations of warm coats. The girls helped set up and retrieve the donation boxes and sponsored a warm coat give away at the McCreary County Park for those in need of a coat for the coming fall and winter. Last year, the girls collected 430 coats. Brownie troop 7102 leaders are Michelle Marnhout and Betsy Ball. The girls and troop leaders were assisted by several parents and volunteers.

The McCreary County Shool’s Family Resource and Youth Service Centers hosted a clothing give-away last week at McCrear y County Middle School. The event was a success, wiith hundreds of families going home with clothing, food, coats and household goods.
