October is recognized nationally as National Cooperative Month. South Kentucky Rural Electric Cooperative is proud to be a part of the celebration of cooperatives. We have been honored for nearly 80 years to serve the 66,000 member-owners that receive electricity from South Kentucky RECC. South Kentucky RECC hosted member appreciation day on Friday, October 2, at each of its five offices. All South Kentucky RECC members were invited to come by their local office for refreshments, a free compact fluorescent light bulb (CFL), and to register for door prizes. In all, 1,887 members visited their local South Kentucky RECC office, with 387 visiting the McCreary County office. In the photo, SKRECC employee Delynn Waters and a member pose for a picture while he registers for door prizes and gets his free CFL.
