Evangelists Larry and Linda Woodson and Praise Ministries International brought Christmas joy to many McCreary County residents Saturday when they hosted the Appalachia Christmas Blessing to the McCreary County Middle School.
The group, based out of Cartersville, Georgia, brought thousands of dollars worth of toys, clothing and food to hand out to the community through the generous give-away.
Over 1,200 people came through the doors throughout the day to take part in the event. 500 lucky children won a new bicycle and more than 400 turkeys were distributed to families as a special gift.
