United Cumberland Bank recently donated $5,000 to the McCreary Christian Center to help support the Center’s mission to serve low-income citizens in McCreary County.  The McCreary Christian Center is a non-profit, community-based organization that helps to provide medical services and equipment, along with a food pantry.  The food pantry serves up to 900 low-income families per month, plus 288 low-income senior citizens through the Commodity Supplemental Food Program.

The McCreary Christian Center depends on private donations, volunteer staffing and a few small grants to provide services to the community and welcomes monetary donations or donations of non-perishable foods, personal care items and cleaning supplies.  Center Director Sue Singleton stated “we appreciate United Cumberland Bank’s donation and their past support.”
