University of Kentucky professor is Grand Rounds speaker at LCRH

Nearly 50 Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital (LCRH) residents, medical students, physicians and team members attended the quarterly University of Kentucky Grand Rounds recently.  The meeting was held in the LCRH Conference Centers.

L. Raymond Reynolds, M.D., Professor of Internal Medicine, Division of Endocrinology and Molecular Medicine at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, spoke on “Inpatient Glycemic Control: A Continuing Challenge.”

Dr. Reynolds presented in-depth information on the appropriate management of hospitalized diabetic patients, including recognizing hyperglycemia and its adverse outcomes on hospitalized patients; implications of hypoglycemia in hospitalized patients; and guidelines for use of insulin in a variety of inpatient settings as well as hospital discharge planning.

University of Kentucky Grand Rounds are hosted quarterly by Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.  These lectures provide additional opportunities for learning the latest information regarding diagnosis, treatment and management of various diseases and conditions.
