Drive-by shooting investigated

A Whitley City man was the apparent target in a drive-by shooting event Tuesday morning.

The Kentucky State Police is investigating the incident, which occurred on Selvidge Lane, sometime around 5:00 a.m.

Detective Billy Correll states at least two suspects allegedly drove past the residence that morning and discharged a fire arm in the direction of the home. At least one bullet penetrated in to the residence, passing through a living room wall and lodging in a refrigerator.

No one was injured in the incident.

The investigation is continuing, but possible suspects have been identified and arrests and charges are pending as of press time.
