SKED Helps Pine Knot Entrepreneur’s Small Business Dream Come True

McCreary County native Brandon Kidd has held several titles during his career. He is Chairman of the local board of education, Deputy Chief at Pine Knot Volunteer Fire Department and formerly a senior officer at USP McCreary. But it’s the title of small business owner that he’s been working toward for years and, with SKED’s help, he achieved that this spring. Kidd graduated from SKED’s Entrepreneurial SMARTS training and applied for a loan from SKED early this year to put Superior Expeditors LLC on the road. The company is a start-up expediting business that specializes in providing trucking services across the U.S. and Canada for customers who require secure transportation, temperature control or other special handling needs. His primary customer is FedEx Custom Critical, a subsidiary of Fed Ex.
