Somerset Community College To Hold Express Enrollment July 18-22
Somerset – Are you interested in learning a new skill? Have you thought about taking college classes but didn’t enroll? Do you need to finish the degree you started?
Now is the perfect time to enroll for fall 2016 classes at Somerset Community College. Whether you are interested in part-time, full-time, online or one-at-a-time classes, you can attend the one-stop enrollment opportunity at SCC the week of July 18, 2016 to get started.
Express Enrollment will be held at both the Somerset and Laurel SCC Campuses from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday July 18 to July 21, and from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday, July 22.
Express Enrollment week is an event that will allow representatives from SCC to help with one-on-one advising regarding enrollment, financial aid, scheduling and other items that prospective students need to complete for the fall semester. Additionally, if a student has not taken a required test, that can be scheduled as well. COMPASS testing will also be available with no appointment necessary (note: students should allow approximately two hours for COMPASS testing).
The goal is to make the enrollment process as simple and fast as possible. Most students should be able to complete the process during their advising session.
“We know many of our prospective students are anxious about college, but we want to relieve that anxiety and make enrolling as easy as possible,” said SCC Dean of Student Affairs Tracy Casada. “We believe if we can simplify this first important step, more students are likely to take advantage of the affordable opportunities SCC has to offer.”
