The Senior Citizens’ Center received a plaque from the Internal Revenue Service for hosting the “Tax Counseling for the Elderly” program for 30 years.  The 2016 year made 31 years of service. The plaque was presented by Elmer Olson and Lorella Wood.  Lorella just finished 31 years of providing the service.  Elmer Olson and Ralph Nevels, with a number of other volunteers,  have also provided the service throughout the years.  Volunteers are desperately needed.   It is a good service to our residents and very rewarding for those who volunteer.  Everything is done through the computer, and it is very easy to learn.  Training is required each year. If anyone would like to volunteer to help with tax counseling for the elderly, please call the Senior Center for more information.
