Drug arrest made

McCreary County Sheriff Randy Waters reported an arrest in a suspected drug trafficking operation as a result of a domestic dispute.

Officers responded to the reported incident at an Ingram Road residence in Whitley City Thursday afternoon.

After the officers arrival the victim alerted officers to the possibility of illegal narcotics inside the residence, and a possible drug trafficking operation.

Sheriff Waters stated he obtained a search warrant and officers found 1.9 grams of suspected methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and other possible narcotics inside the home.

The suspected drugs were sent to the KSP lab for testing.

Danny L. Roberts, 42, was arrested on assault and trafficking in a controlled substance charges. An EPO was also served against Roberts at the time of his arrest.
