Lillie Jane Anderson, age 59, passed away Saturday September 24, 2016, at Baptist Health Corbin in Corbin, Kentucky.
Born August 14, 1957, in McCreary County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Marion and Dessie (Caddell) Cooper. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Frank Anderson and two brothers: Marion B, Cooper and Tony Cooper.
Surviving family include her companion of 29 years, James Lunsford, three brothers: Lester Caddell of Hendersonville, North Carolina, Ralph (and Margie) Cooper of Frankfort, Kentucky and Bobby Cooper of Pine Knot, three sisters: Ora Mae (and Marcum) Gray of Corbin, Mary Cooper (and Eddie) Neal of Pine Knot, and Carol (and George) Jones of Whitley City, Kentucky. She has three grandchildren: Kayla, Joe and Sarah Lunsford and many nieces and nephews.
Lillie was a homemaker and member of the Corbin Church of God Union Assembly. She enjoyed puzzle books, music and family time.
Funeral Services were Tuesday September 27, 2016 in the chapel of the Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. David Troxell and Bro. Douglas Hill officiating.
Graveside services were Wednesday at the Kidd Cemetery in Pine Knot.

Gary Wayne Blakley age 57 years, 2 months, and 30 days, of Pine Knot, Kentucky passed away Thursday, September 15, 2016 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
Memorial services were held on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at 6:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Michael Grubb officiating. Private graveside services were held on Thursday at the Strunk Family Cemetery with full military honors.
He was born June 16, 1959 in Pine Knot, Kentucky to Andrew Newman Blakley and Evelyn (Jackson) Blakley. Gary was a Veteran of the United States Army and National Guard. He enjoyed restoring old cars and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Preceding him in death are his parents; a son-in-law, David Eric Strunk; brothers, Elmer “Peanut” McCulley, James E. Blakley, and John Willie Blakley; and a sister, Retha “Sis” Sexton.
Survivors include his wife, Carol (Ball) Blakley; a daughter, Misti Strunk (and Anthony Foster); sons, James Blakley (and Kim) and Steven Blakley; a brother, Herbert McCulley; a sister, Sheila McCulley, all of Pine Knot, Kentucky; 17 grandchildren; and many special nieces and nephews.

Herman M. Hatfield, age 87 years and 13 days, passed into eternal life on Monday, September 19, 2016, at his home in Gray, Kentucky.
Born September 6, 1929, in Stearns, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Jason and Louzetta (Hammack) Hatfield. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother Royce Hatfield, and two sisters: Betty Bell and Gloria Jean Branscum.
Surviving family include his wife of 67 years, LaRue (Green) Hatfield whom he married January 28, 1949, of Gray, Kentucky, a daughter, Melissa (and Earl) Edwards of Gray, two sons: Michael Edward (and Barbara) Hatfield of Berea, Kentucky and H. Tim (and Amanda) Hatfield of Centerville, Ohio. He has five brothers surviving: Jimmy (and Joyce) Hatfield, Jason T. (and Sue), Gordon (and Sue) Hatfield, Robert (and Karen) Hatfield, and Roger (and Martha) Hatfield, and one sister: Mary Jane Cox. He has four grandchildren: Jason, Rebecca, Jennifer and Meganne, and three great grandchildren: Michael, Karlie and Michael.
Mr. Hatfield was a self-employed contractor and a member of the Hazel Valley Baptist Church. He had been a church pastor for 28 years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends and all who knew and loved him and will never be forgotten.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 22, 2016, in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Hilton Duncan officiating. Interment was at the Stearns Cemetery.

Nina Kathleen “Katie” Hickman age 92 years, 2 months, and 23 days of Stearns, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2016 at the Signature Health Care McCreary.
Private graveside service was held Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Pine Knot Cemetery with Bro. Hap Strunk officiating. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 2:30 pm at the Stearns Adventist Church.
She was born July 1, 1924 in Oneida, Tennessee to Oscar C. and Loretta (Stephens) Litton. Katie was a member of the Stearns Adventist Church for many years. In past time she had worked for Dr. Winchester and Dr. Williams. Katie had a passion for nursing and caring for people. She continued to do so even after retiring. Katie also volunteered at the Christian Care Center. She enjoyed quilting, golfing, needle point, painting, playing the piano and was an avid UK Wildcats basketball fan.
Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband, Jefferson Hickman, Jr.; and a sister, Adrian Spencer.
Survivors include her sons, Jefferson Hickman III and wife, Sharon and Rick Hickman and wife, Darlene both of Burnside, Kentucky; grandchildren, Rick, Jonathan, Jefferson, and Shannon; and 4 great grandchildren.

Zellar Perry McLeod age 94 years, 4 months, and 7 days, of Parkers Lake, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at her home.
Funeral services were held Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 1:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Corder officiating. Burial followed in the Mill Creek Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers were Thomas East, William Davis, Bryan Patrick, Trevor Strunk, Ricky Vanhook, and Stephan Lowery.
She was born May 14, 1922 in McCreary County, Kentucky to Shelt Perry and Jane (Jones) Perry. Zellar was a member of the Mill Creek United Methodist Church. She was the former Postmaster of Honeybee, Kentucky for many years and later owned and operated Tom McLeod’s general store, also of Honeybee. Zellar will be remember fondly as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband, Thomas McLeod; a step-son, Thomas McLeod, Jr.; a step-daughter, Vera Hatfield; grandsons, Richard and David Dunagan; 7 brothers; and 6 sisters.
Survivors include her daughters, Sue Neal and husband, Ray, of Whitley City, Kentucky, and Shirley Dunagan and husband, David, of Parkers Lake, Kentucky; and several grand, great-grand, and great-great-grandchildren.

John A. Snowden Jr., 88, husband of Mary Hart Snowden, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2016.
He was born November 25, 1927. John was a member and Deacon at Versailles First Baptist Church and former Sunday School teacher. John was a retired Woodford Co. High School teacher and football coach. His 1962 winning state championship football team propelled him to Coach of the Year with both the Courier Journal and the Herald Leader.
He is preceded in death by a sister, Mable Clark and a brother, Ray Snowden.
Survivors, in addition to his wife of 64 years, include a daughter, Monica (Terry) Lawson of Whitley City, Kentucky; a son, John A. (Paula) Snowden III of Dayton, Ohio; a brother Dr. William E. (Peggy) Snowden of Winchester, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Brianna Lawson, John A. Snowden IV, Amanda Snowden, Colby (Hannah) Lawson, Zachary (Holly) Snowden; and one great-grandson, Cooper Lawson.
Services were held Sunday, September 25, 2016 at 4:00 pm at the Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Cabell and Rev. John Brandon officiating.

Fayrene “Faye” Wilson, 61, of Sidney, passed away at 10:48 PM on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at Miami Valley Hospital. She was born on October 11, 1954 in Scott County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Manuel and Maxine (Wilson) Crabtree. She married Earl Wilson and he preceded her in death in 2003.
Faye is survived by her companion and friend, M.C. Day of Sidney, one son, Kenneth Longmire of Sidney, three grandsons; Jacob and Jonah Longmire and Sean Chitwood, one granddaughter: Heather Wilson, one brother, Michael Crabtree of Whitley City, Kentucky and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister, Nadean Lewis, three brothers; LeRoy, DeRoy and Junior Crabtree.
Mrs. Wilson was a homemaker with many, many talents. She enjoyed photography, camping and Bluegrass music. Most of all she loved spending time with her friends and family.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 30, 2016 at McCreary County Funeral Home 48 West Hwy 700 Whitley City, Kentucky 42653 at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Angel Cemetery in Stearns, Kentucky.Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.

Wilma June Waters age 86, widow of LeRoy “Bud” Waters, of Stearns, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at her home.

Thressa Louise Davidson departed from this life on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at her home in Whitley City, Kentucky. She was born on July 5, 1938 in Whitley City, Kentucky, to the late Willie and Betsy (Bryant) Vanover.
Thressa is preceded in death by her son: Bradley Perry, and sisters: Verna Bragesser, and Vela Child.
Surviving family includes: sons: Ledford Perry of Whitley City, KY and James Hawn and wife Angie of Pine Knot, KY, daughters: Brenda Angel and husband Archie or Parkers Lake, KY, Debbie Mitchell and husband David of Whitley City, KY, brother: Sonny Vanover of Whitley City, KY, sisters: Beatrice Claxton of Detroit, MI, Hazel Poole and husband Kendal of Science Hill, KY, and Betty Smith of California. 14 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.
Thressa was a member of the Beulah Heights Church of God. She loved fishing and camping and was an enthusiastic lover of outdoors, and spending time with her family and friends.

Bro. Andrew Simon “Andy” Jones, age 55, of the Cal Hill Community in Pine Knot, Kentucky, received his victory in Jesus on September 16, 2016, with his family at his side.
Born May 30, 1961, in Decatur, Alabama, he was the son of the late Rev. Charlie E. Jones and Wanda (Paul) Jones.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Charlie and Wanda Jones, his grandparents, Rev. Ora Melton Jones and Bessie Elizabeth (Sharp) Jones, and Grant and Lotus (Young) Paul, a niece, Justina Marie Jones, a sister Mary Ann Clark and a brother Melton Berry Jones.
Surviving is his wife of 34 years, Mary Karen (Creekmore) Jones whom he married June 5, 1982, children: Gary Lynn Jones (wife Dana) of Revelo, Kentucky, Lacey Dawn Byrd (husband Tommy) of Pioneer, Tennessee, Kevin Emmanuel Jones of Pine Knot, Quinton Dean Jones (and Roxanna Williams) of Somerset, Kentucky, and Alyssa Jones Worley of Pine Knot. Surviving siblings are Carolyn Sue (husband Jeff) Privett, Lois Marie (husband Johnny) Smith, Delphi Jones (and Sonny Stephens) of Walton, Kentucky, David (wife Tosha) Jones, Timothy Edward (wife Sara) Jones and Roberta King, and his best friend Carl Kidd.
Andy and Karen were blessed with six grandchildren: Brianna Lynn Jones, Sierra Rayne Byrd, Trestin Cole Byrd, Jalia Marie, Camden Zane and Kenlee Jones.
Also surviving are brothers-in-law: Joe Clark and Michael Creekmore (wife Linda) who stayed by his side until he made his journey home, sisters-in-law Judy Salyer, Sharon Creekmore, Becky White, Phyllis Jones, aunts: Ethel (and Bill) Cogdill, Naomi (and Roger) Brown and uncle L.B. (and Betty) Jones. Deceased in-laws are Angela Lamb, Doris Allen, Stanley Salyer, James Ray Creekmore, Roger Hal King, and his friend Odis Neal.
Andy was a general contractor having worked at many jobs. He worked at the American Bag Factory as a mechanic until they closed. He had been a deacon at the New Hope Baptist Church for many years and became an assistant pastor. Ministering was his life; he loved his church. He also loved his grandchildren, spending time with them and all his family. He was blessed with many friends and leaves a legacy of love and grace. He fought a good fight, he kept the faith and his faith carried him home.

She was born April 18, 1971 to Phillip Warren Lindsey and Diana Sue (Tucker) Lindsey. Stephanie enjoyed coloring, listening to music, and doing word searches.

Eldred Edwin Musgrove, II, age 52, passed away Thursday, September 15, 2016, at his home in Pine Knot, Kentucky, with his family by his side.
Edwin was born in Somerset, Kentucky, on July 28, 1964, the son of Eldred Edwin and Sophia (Meadows) Musgrove who precede him in death.
Surviving family include his wife, Karen (Taylor) Musgrove, of Pine Knot, two daughters: Crystal (and Dale) Griffis of Pine Knot and Casey (and Brittany) Musgrove of Somerset, Kentucky, and two sons: Eldred Edwin (and Jessica) Musgrove, III, of Pine Knot, and Tony Wilson of Pine Knot. He has one brother, Richard (and Beverly) Musgrove of Pine Knot, two sisters: Doris (and Costello) Wilson of Pine Knot and Mary Alice Musgrove of Pine Knot. His grandchildren are Caleb, Gage, Aliva, and Bryson; step grandchildren: Aaron, Ryan and Bryson, and step-great grandchildren: Faith and Aiden.
Edwin was self-employed having owned and operated Musgrove Contracting, Musgrove Trailer Park and was a farmer. He was a member of the South Pine Knot Church of God and was a member of the Orie S. Ware Lodge 874 of Stearns/Whitley City.
Funeral services were held Sunday, September 18, 2016, in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Cyrus Byrd officiating. He was laid to rest at the Musgrove Cemetery in Pine Knot.

Jerry Richard Patrick age 62 of Jasper, Tennessee passed away Friday, September 16, 2016 surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral services were held Sunday, September 18, 2016 at 3:00 pm at the Jasper Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Sellers officiating. Interment followed at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper. Pallbearers were Dustin Patrick, Jason Patrick, Patrick Worley, Cody Morse, Legend Holloway and Journey Holloway.
He was a member of Indian Creek Baptist Church and retired from Fuji Chemical Company in Dayton.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Robert & Bessie Patrick; brothers, Bob Patrick and Larry Patrick.

He was born November 24, 1929, the son of Lee Ander & Helen (Vanover) Patrick.
He is precede in death by his parents; wife, Bertie D. (Barnett) Patrick; sisters and brothers, Erma Jones, Midge Dudney, Edward Patrick and Lloyd Patrick; and a son-in-law, Donald Cook.
Survivors include his children, Dolores Ann Cook, Marvin Wayne Patrick (Diane), and Anthony Wade Patrick (Robin); sisters, Eva Keeton, Edith King, Marjorie Spiher, and Ester Colwell; brothers Arvin, Edgar & Lee Patrick, Jr.; 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Deborah “Debbie” Lynn Perry, passed from this life on Monday, September 19, 2016, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky. She was 56 years, five months and 21 days old.
Born in the Marshes Siding community on March 29, 1960, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Patricia (Morrow) Perry. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Gary Perry.
She is survived by one brother: Roger Perry, Revelo, Kentucky and four sisters, Kathy Coffey and husband Scott of Pine Knot, Kentucky, Carol Tourtillolt, Stearns, Kentucky, Vicky Brown and husband Stewart of Pine Knot, Kentucky and Mary Ann Perry of Revelo, Kentucky.
Debbie loved spending time with her many friends at Horizon and was a big fan of UK Basketball. She enjoyed doing crafts, crocheting, and playing bingo but mostly Debbie loved spending time with her brother and sisters.

Jessie Eric Allen Soard, age 33, passed from this life on Wednesday, September 14, 2016, at his home in Pine Knot.
He was born in Somerset, Kentucky, on November 18, 1982, the son of Jessie Scott Soard and Maranda (Lay) Soard. He is preceded in death by his grandmother Katheryn Soard and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Surviving family include his father Jessie Scott Soard, mother Maranda Soard, grandfather James Soard, grandparents: Orvilee and Dorthy Lay, and brother Jeremy Soard. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jessie worked for James Medical in Somerset. He enjoyed computers and his cell phone. He was a member at the Davis Hill Church of God.

She was born June 15, 1941 in Strunk, Kentucky to R.L. West and Mable (King) West. Katheryn was a homemaker who enjoyed caring for her home and family, especially her grandchildren, and cooking. She was a member of the Sunny Hill Church of God in Saxton, Kentucky and also enjoyed singing and reading her bible. Katheryn will be remembered as a prayer warrior, loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

David Allen Strunk, age 51, of Whitley City, Kentucky, passed from this life on Friday, September 16, 2016, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky.
He was born in Somerset, Kentucky, on January 13, 1965, the son of the late David and Lynn Toni (New) Strunk. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his son Dustin Andrew Strunk who passed away August 5, 2014.
Allen was a maintenance supervisor for East Kentucky Power Co-operative in Somerset, Kentucky. He was a member of the Whitley City Church of God and a member of the Greenwood Masonic Lodge #903 F & AM. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, camping, woodworking and being in the outdoors.
He is survived by his wife Amanda Jean (Richardson) Strunk whom he married November 26, 1993, at the East Appletree Church in Revelo, Kentucky. He has three siblings: Goldie Byrd of Somerset, Kentucky, Darin Amon Taylor of Whitley City, and Wynde Walker (husband Micheal) of Sterling, Virginia. He is also survived by his grandmother, Goldie Strunk of Pine Knot. He has a host of wonderful friends, co-workers, and other family members left to cherish his memory in their hearts forever.

Gurnie Lee Watson departed from this life on Wednesday, September 14, 2016. He was 30 years, five months and five days old. He was born in Somerset, Kentucky, on April 9, 1986 to the late Gurnie and Marjorie (Collins) Watson.

He is survived by his wife Jamie (Slaven) Watson and two children: Aiden Hunter Gage Watson, and Isabella Leanna Rose Watson, all of Pine Knot, Kentucky, and one sister: Marea Jones of Whitley City, Kentucky.
Gurnie was a member of the Beulah Heights Church. He loved his family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, working on vehicles, and being a great father to his children.

Morene Wilson, passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2016, at her home in Parkers Lake, Kentucky. She has attained the age of 90 years, seven months and three days.
Born in the Beulah Heights community on February 12, 1926, she was the daughter of Luther and Maudie (Strunk) Bryant. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Luther Wilson, Jr. two sons: David and Roger Wilson, a daughter: Shirley Lovall, two brothers: Ronald and Kenneth Bryant, and three sisters: Earlene, Earnie and infant Glenna.
She is survived by two sons: Chester Wilson of Monticello, Kentucky and John Wilson of Whitley City, Kentucky, three daughters: Tenna Hardwick (husband Terry) of Falmouth, Kentucky, Polly Wilson of Parkers Lake and Connie Wilson of Parkers Lake, six grandchildren: Jerry, Kenny, Donnie, Terry, Johnny and Kacey, and nine great grandchildren. She has one surviving brother, Donald Bryant of Whitley City, and one sister, Opal Richardson of Blanchester, Ohio.
Ms. Wilson was retired from the McCreary County Schools where she worked for 32 years as a cook at Eagle Elementary. She was a member of the Pleasant Knob Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening and taking trips to Florida. She loved her family and loved and lived life to the fullest.
Funeral services were Sunday, September 18, 2016, in the chapel of McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Dillard Bryant and Bro. Dwayne Perry officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Angel Cemetery at Stearns.

Born July 16, 1929, in Slaven, he was the son of the late Luther and Myrtle (Koger) Jones. Also preceding him in death was his brother Dee Jones; three sisters Gathia Roysdon, Stella Jones, and Kathy Jones.
Surviving family include his sons Donald Jones and wife Patsy of Slaven, Ronald Jones of Coppersville, Dewayne Jones of Dearborn, Mark Jones and fiancé Jackie of Dearborn, and Gary Farver of Greenwood, South Carolina. Three brothers Wolford Jones of Slaven, Golmand Jones of Lafollette, Indiana, Harvey Jones of Lafolletta; five sisters Gertie Phillips of Pine Knot, Zella Mendoza of Monticello, Bertha Worley of Stearns, Clova Koger of Oneida, Curlie Matthews of Whitley City, he is also survived by 7 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

He was born in McCreary County, Kentucky on February 17, 1935 the son of Ryce and Carrie (Ross) Slaven. Ryce retired as a Production Supervisor at IBM and was of the Baptist. He enjoyed UK basketball, camping, golfing, and watching the stock market.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, L.B. Slaven; and sister, Louise Foster.

Kaitlin Faith Smart was welcomed into this world on Wednesday, September 7, at 12:53pm, by her loving parents, Bryanna Perry Smart and Josh Smart. Faith weighed 4 pounds and was 15 1/2 inches in length. She had a beautiful patch of soft blonde hair, 10 long fingers and 10 perfect toes. She fought hard to get here and to stay for 1 hour and 20 minutes. But her little lungs were tired and Our Heavenly Father had made a place for her, so we had to let her go.
Though her time on earth was brief, Faith was deeply loved by so many, including Bryanna & Josh (Mommy & Daddy); her grandparents Bryan Perry, Flossie Perry, Anna Smart, Henson Stanton, Rocky Martin, Shawna Crawford, Cathy Coomer, and Hoover Perry; great uncle Larry Perry; aunts Ashley Perry, Maria Ball, Jennifer Hughes, Amy Crabtree, Katie Lay, and Racheal Anderson; uncles Ronald Sellers, Shane Stanton, Dakota Jennings, Thomas Colwell, Joe Anderson, Oscar Hughes, all of McCreary County, and many loving cousins and friends.

She was born in Strunk, Kentucky on March 28, 1932 the daughter of Clarence and Mable (Strunk) Strunk. Eva was a member of the Otter Creek Baptist Church. She was a retired store clerk, who enjoyed quilting, crocheting, gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family. Eva will be remembered as a super caring mother who sacrificed for her family and friends with a gracious spirit.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Kenneth King, Lonnie Walker, and Kenneth Strunk; son, Lonnie Walker, Jr.; daughter, Rosalie Hamlin; a son-in-law, Eddie McKee; brothers, Denton Strunk, Cleamon Strunk, and Luster Strunk; and a sister, Edith Stephens.

William Jake Thomas, age 74, of Somerset, passed from this life on Monday, September 12, 2016, at the home of his daughter.
William was born on December 2, 1941, in the Combs Community, son of the late Jacob “Jake” and Cora Myrtle Sego Thomas. He was a Vietnam War veteran, serving his country in the U.S. Army. William was a self-employed mechanic. He was a member of the American Legion Post #115 and the Meece VFW, in Scott County, Tennessee. William enjoyed writing and having company, especially when company was his grandchildren. He loved being outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. William loved working on old cars and tinkering around the house, trying to invent new motors.
He is survived by his sons, Michael Warren Thomas, of Whitley County, and Mark Edward Thomas, of McCreary County; his daughter, Jennifer Thomas, of Somerset; his sister, Opal Marie Patrick, of McCreary County; his five grandchildren, Tyler Michael Thomas, Nathan Allen Thomas, Joshua Tristan Thomas, Marc Damien Thomas and Ciera Leann Thomas; and his former wife and mother of his children, Imogine Angel Thomas, of McCreary County.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Jessie A. Thomas, Forrest Edward Thomas and Boyd Allen Thomas; and his sister, Claira Mabel Elam.
A private service will be held for William’s family at a later date. Burial will be in the Barren Fork Cemetery of McCreary County.

She was born in the Paunch Creek Community of Strunk, Kentucky on May 26, 1928 to John Lawrence and Elva (King) Ross. Anna was a member of the Valley Station Baptist Church. She became a homemaker after retiring from the Job Corps. Anna had also worked at the King Edward Restaurant and in past time was a valued employee for the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home. Anna graduated from the McCreary County High School and during her time there, she enjoyed cheerleading. She also enjoyed caring for family, basket weaving, and was an avid reader. Anna will be best remembered as a kind loving family woman.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Dorman Ross, son-in-law, Gary Kinsella; and a brother-in-law, Joe Anderson.

Tyler Dewayne Stephens-Jones, age 16, passed away Friday, September 2, 2016, in Parkers Lake, Kentucky.
He was born on September 9, 1999, in Scott County, Tennessee. He is the son of Richard and Sherry (King) Stephens of Stearns, Kentucky, grandson of Rama Wilson of Stearns and the late Gene King. He is a brother to Kyle Wayne Stephens-Jones of Stearns, Josh Stephens (and wife Tiffany) of Stearns, Devin Stephens of Stearns, P.J. Paul (husband Eli) of Crawfordville, Florida, Madison Rain Stephens of Stearns, and baby brother Isaiah. He has four nephews and nieces: Elijah, Kainah, Gracelyn and Lily, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Tyler was a junior at McCreary Central High School and a member of the Day Ridge Pentecostal Church. He enjoyed mud riding, working on four-wheelers, motorcycles and lawn mowers and hanging out with his friends. He was a very strong yet compassionate person that will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was born in Pine Knot, Kentucky on March 1, 1936 the son of Ernest and Mosie Pearl (Privett) Stanfill. Delmer was a member of the Orie S. Ware Masonic Lodge #874 and Laurel Heights Order of the Eastern Star #288. He served his country in the US Army and retired from Ford Motor Company as a welder and as a Bus Driver from the McCreary County School System.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Elwanna (Manning) Stanfill; brother, Bill Stanfill; sister, Doris Cornelius; and an infant brother.
Survivors include his sons, Delmer E. Kenneth Roger Foster, 76, of Knoxville, died August 25, 2016, at his home in Farragut.
Mr. Foster was born January 2, 1940, in Whitley City, Kentucky, to Corbett and Nora (King) Foster.
He received a Doctorate of Math Education from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville and was a Professor of Mathematics at both the College and High School levels. After teaching, he spent nearly 40 years as an Executive in the Coal and Natural Gas industries. He served as Executive Vice President for The Coal Creek Company and after retirement, served on the company’s Board of Directors.
He enjoyed bowling and playing golf with his friends and family. He enjoyed the time he was able to spend with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Wilda Foster of Knoxville; sons Kenneth Roger II and Kyle Russell and their spouses; and several grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Corbett Foster and mother, Nora Foster.
He will be missed by all.

Delmar Lee Neal, age 56, of Strunk, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2016, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky.
He was born in Jellico, Tennessee, on May 28, 1960, the son of the late Darrell and Martha Magdalene (Lay) Neal. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Jackie Lynn Neal, and two sisters: Eileen Marion and Gail Neal Moore.
Surviving family include his wife, Nancy (Tommie) Neal of Strunk, whom he married May 29, 1997, two sons: Christopher Maggard (wife Dezirae) and Ezekial Ryan Neal of Strunk, a brother: Davy Neal of Strunk, a sister: Ella Moore (husband Harold) of Pine Knot, and a grandchild: Dejah Maggard of Chatsworth, Georgia. He has several nieces, nephews, special nephew: Bradley Howard, friends and special friends: Johnny and Amanda Hansen, Dave and Steve Meadows, and Shannon Murphy as well as his family in Georgia.
Delmar had worked as a stone mason and brick layer for Steve Radcliff for years. He enjoyed fishing, being outdoors and checking on his friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Bobby Ross, 49, of Ludlow, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Hospice, Edgewood, KY. He was an avid UK fan that loved a party. Bobby enjoyed dancing and spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Ann Ross (1972).
Survivors include his father, Noble Ross of Ludlow; sisters, Sheila Lyon (Kenny Richardson) of Ludlow, Sherry Winters (Ron) of Erlanger, Sharon Tucker (Barry) of Ludlow; brothers, Allen Lyon of Bromley, Wesley Lyon (Melissa) of Dry Ridge, Ray Hatter of Latonia, Russ Hatter (Pam) of Florence, Ron Hatter (Vickie) of Mason, OH, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Service was held Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, 316 Elm Street, Ludlow, KY 41016.
Graveside service and interment August 31, 2016 at noon in Angel Cemetery, Stearns, KY.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Specialty Select Hospital, 85 N. Grand Avenue, Ft. Thomas, KY.

Delmer Eugene Stanfill age 80 of Pine Knot, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at his home.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday (September 3, 2016) at 11:00am in the Hickman-Strunk Funeral. Burial will follow in the Pine Knot Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 6:00pm Friday at the funeral home.

Eskie Lee Watson, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 26, 2016, at her home in Pine Knot, Kentucky, with her loving family by her side. She had attained the age of 85 years, two months and seven days.
She was a homemaker and member of the Revelo Church of God. Eskie and Rev. Watson pastored Jellico Creek Church of God for 29 years having recently retired. For those 29 years, Eskie lead the music and loved to sing songs of praise. She took great pride in raising multiple gardens every year and she loved her animals and flowers. She was very loving and faith-filled and in her last days praised the Lord for her blessings and continued to offer multitudes of prayers for the sick and the lost.
She was born in McCreary County on June 19, 1931, the daughter of the late George and Fannie (Foster) Roberts. She is preceded in death by a daughter Shirley Baker and 10 brothers and sisters: Floyd Roberts, Cullen Roberts, Dimpsey Roberts, Milford Roberts, Mevola Young, Nola Taylor, Ocie Foster, Evie Davis and Onie New, and a grandson, Larry Matthew Watson.
Surviving family include her husband Rev. Edison Watson of Pine Knot, whom she married June 9, 1950, their children: Larry Watson (wife Gloria) of Pennsylvania, Glenna Gregory (husband Mike) of Stearns, Kentucky, Stella Watson of Whitley City, Kentucky, 10 grandchildren: Candy, Brandon, Chrissy, Ronnie Allen, Tony, Christy, Daniel, Jordan, and Larry Dale, seven great grandchildren: Joshua, Lucas, Sam, Tabitha, Zack, Caleb and Ava and a great granddaughter, Journey.
Funeral services were Sunday, August 28, 2016, at the Revelo Church of God with Bro. Leslie Gilreath, Bro. Scott Corder and Bro. Mike Gregory officiating.
Burial followed at the Watson Cemetery.
Pine Knot Funeral Home assisted the family with funeral services.
