Kentucky State Police Sgt. Wendell D. Higginbotham, a Whitley City resident, received his promotional certificate from KSP Commissioner Rick Sanders (right) and John Grate, deputy secretary of the Justice and Public Safety Cabinet (left), on Sept. 16, 2016. A 12-year veteran of the agency, Higginbotham is assigned to KSP Post 15 in Columbia. A native of Parker’s Lake, he is the son of Janice Perry of Parkers Lake and Tim and Cindy Higginbotham of Parkers Lake.
