Girl Scout Brownie Troop 7102 at Pine Knot Primary collected and donated 50 Thanksgiving Baskets to the Resource Center to distribute to those families at the primary school who are in need of a helping hand this holiday season. The Brownies have been very fortunate and are very grateful for all the donations that were given to help make these baskets possible.

Girl Scout Brownie Troop 7102 would like to recognize the employees at Save-A-Lot in Whitley City for all the hard work and dedication that they exhibit through their kindness and generosity in helping our troop collect the much needed food items for the Thanksgiving baskets needed at the Pine Knot Primary School. Save-A-Lot’s employees are always the first people to donate to the baskets and give a helping hand when we need it. Thank you all for all your kindness & support.

Kristina’s Kitchen, located on Main Street in Whitley City, is a small local business that is owned and ran by Kristina McFeeters. Kristina’s serves vegetarian & vegan foods that are truly delicious. Kristina hosted a cooking class tailored for Brownie Girl Scout Troop 7102 at the end of September. The Brownies loved the time they spent with Kristina, as well as the yummy smoothies that they helped make. Thank you Kristina for all of your hard work and dedication to our Community.

Girl Scout Troop 7102 has hosted a One Warm Coat drive for the last several years to help ensure that the people in our county have warm clothing to wear in the winter months. This year the girls collected and distributed over 200 coats to our community. Thank you to everyone that donated to the coat drive, one person can truly make a difference! Thank you to South Kentucky RECC for allowing us to use your facility to distribute the coats. (L to R – Lakelyn Jones, Kelli Strunk, Jasmine Daugherty, Lily Marnhout, Chloe Kidd).
