Occupational Tax down for November

Revenue from the McCreary County Occupational Tax decreased in November, the first time since July tax revenues were not ahead of where they were last year.

According to figures released by McCreary County Judge Executive Doug Stephens’ Office, a total of $66,057.28 was collected in November, about $27,000 less than the same month last year.

The five-month collections for this fiscal year have brought in $467,322.85, which is about $16,000 less than the same period for the 2014-15 fiscal year.

That total averages about $93,464 per month, which would bring approximately $1.21 million in revenue for the year if that average holds constant.
