Approximately thirty-five McCreary County children joined youth from Scott County Tennessee for an evening filled with pizza and shopping during the annual “Shop with a Cop” event at the Oneida Walmart. The event is designed to provide shopping opportunities during the Christmas season and promote positive relationships between children and law enforcement officers. Law enforcement officers from Kentucky and Tennessee helped children shop. Each child, thanks to community support, was given one hundred dollars of shopping money.
