Grand Jury indicts 4

Four individuals were indicted by the McCreary County Grand Jury during their final session of 2016.

Christopher Loy, of Whitley City, was indicted on one count of Assault 3rd Degree, Resisting Arrest and Fleeing or Evading Police Second Degree for allegedly struggling with McCreary County Sheriff’s Deputy on September 27, causing physical injury and disobeying an order to stop running.

Loy was also charged with being a Persistent Felony Offender after previous convictions for Theft by Unlawful Taking and Theft of Identity in 2013 and 2002.

Devan Jones, of Whitley City, was charged with Flagrant Non Support for reportedly failing to make court ordered child support payments for not less than six months for an arrearage of $15,873.97.

Jones was also charged with being a Persistent Felony Offender after previous convictions for burglary and theft by unlawful taking in 2012.

Lorne Keith, of Lexington, was indicted on one count of Flagrant Non Support for allegedly failing to make court ordered child support payments for not less than six months for an arrearage of $24,606.

Steven L. Jones, of Whitley City was indicted on one count of Flagrant Non Support for allegedly failing to make court ordered child support payments for not less than six months for an arrearage of $8,253.34.

Jones was also charged with being a Persistent Felony Offender after previous convictions for theft by unlawful taking in 2007.
