With completion of the installation of field lights expected soon, McCreary County Park Little League Field # 2 should be ready for nighttime play when spring season opens this year.  Using park money made available for spending as a result of litigation concerns with the park building contractor being resolved last year, the McCreary County Park Board acted on the recommendation of the Little League Board to purchase and install Little League standard, stadium type lights on concrete poles.  The Little League standard type lights will allow McCreary County to gain revenue by hosting tournaments.  The lights and poles with placement in the ground cost $41,800.  Park Board and Little League officials hope to eventually secure grant money to purchase lights for the remaining three fields.
