Man arrested for child pornography

The Kentucky State Police arrested a McCreary County man on 13 charges of possession of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor.

Grover C. Manning, 43, was arrested Tuesday and charged following an investigation by the KSP Electronic Crime Branch. An undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation was initiated after it was discovered he had allegedly been sharing images of child sexual exploitation online.

A search warrant for Manning’s Pine Knot residence resulted in the seizure of equipment, which has been sent to the forensic laboratory for examination.

Each charge is considered a Class-D felony, which could carry a one to five year sentence for each count.

Manning was lodged in the Leslie County Detention Center.

The investigation is continuing.
