Derby Day at the Farmer’s Market

Despite last weekend’s chilly temperatures and rain, the McCreary County Farmers’ Market opened on schedule with a variety of vendors.  Shoppers braving the weather were pleasantly surprised to find a wide array of wares including homemade soaps, bath bombs, garden plants, heirloom garden seeds, honey, fresh produce (including lettuce, broccoli, green onions, and strawberries), herbs, baked goods, and more.  The Market will be open every Saturday morning during the season and on Thursday evenings at Jackson Park in Whitley City or the Market site in Stearns.
