Both the Raiders and Lady Raiders will be in action Monday night for their respective 48th District Tournaments.
The Baseball team will be on the road at Wayne County High School where they will take on the Cardinals in the first round of the tournament. First pitch is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
McCreary enters the final week of the regular season with a 7-16 record, has faced the Cardinals (11-16) twice this season in two very close games.
Wayne County defeated the Raiders 5-3 on April 19, and 6-3 a week later.
The winner of Monday night’s game will go on to face the Southwestern Warriors Tuesday night at 7:00 at Southwestern High School. The Warriors enter the final week with a record of 22-6.
The Raiders wrap up the regular season this week with a game against Lynn Camp at home Thursday afternoon and on the road against Casey County Friday.
The Lady Raiders will be hosting both games of the Tournament, showcasing their new facility.
Monday night, at 7:00, McCreary will host the Lady Cardinals in the opening round.
McCreary (4-15) winners of four of their last 6 games, lost both regular-season meetings with Wayne County (7-13) by close margins, (5-1 on April 20, and 11-1 on May 1).
The winner of the game will face Southwestern (12-14) on Tuesday night at 7:00.
The Lady Raiders wrap up their regular season Thursday night with a road game against Knox Central.
