First Season Wrap Up

 

The McCreary Central Track and Field Team wrapped up their first season in nearly two decades with a good showing at the Class AA Region 5 meet at Boyle County High School last weekend.
Eight Raider runners competed in the event after qualifying for the tournament.
MaKenzi Cox placed 8th in the 100-meter dash, and 10th in the 200-meter dash and long jump finals.
Kalidora Bolin placed 8th in the 200-meter and 9th in the 100-meter finals.
Caleb Cox finished 5th in the high jump, 6th in the 100-meter, 8th in the 200-meter and 12th in the long jump finals.
Nathan Prosser finished 10th in discus and 16th in shot put.
Reuben Martinez placed 14th overall in the 1600-meter run and 18th in shot put.
Dylan Brumley placed 18th in the 400-meter dash and 21st in the 100-meter finals.
Trey Davis placed 17th in the 400-meter and 18th in the 200-meter finals.
Coach Bob Naylor, who resurrected the team after a 17-year absence, said he was very proud of all the student-athletes who competed throughout the season and hopes the sport will continue to grow in the future.
