Making Stearns Beautiful Again
Volunteers recently spent an evening landscaping the area around the Stearns Heritage Hall. The volunteers plan to do more work in the near future as they plant flowers and shrubs along Henderson Street and around the Depot and Museum. J.C. Egnew, Anita Braden, and Abby Hill planted roses and lilies amongst the creek rock in Downtown Stearns. Anyone wishing to volunteer work with the Stearns Beautification project may contact Shane Gilreath at the McCreary County Museum.
- Anita Braden, known for her gardening expertise, volunteered to spearhead the Stearns Beautification Project. Others, including Libby Pennington, Tammie Johnson, and Jessica Musgrove are volunteering to help with the project. More beautification is planned, and additional volunteers are welcome.
- Michael Musgrove, Duffy Sutton, and a host of additional volunteers spread creek rock and planted flowers as part of the Stearns Beautification Project.
