Summer kick off

The McCreary County Park kicked off summer with a ribbon cutting ceremony for the opening of the newly completed children’s splash pad.  Funded through generous donations from JC & Azalie Egnew and special county park funds, Azalie Egnew cut the ribbon as eager children waited excitedly to splash.  Pictured are:  Park Board Members Roger Phillips, Jonathan Kidd, Park Director Melissa Vanover, Azalie and JC Egnew, and Park Board Chair Roger Branscum. Starting this Saturday, June 10th the hours are planned for 12:00pm-3:00pm and 5:00pm-8:00pm 7 days a week. The splash pad will be set with a timer that kicks on and off at those designated times.
