Lady Raiders blank Bell County, 4-0

PINEVILLE – The McCreary Central Lady Raiders remained in the win column on the road earlier in the week, blanking the Bell County Lady Cats 4-0 in an early-season girls’ high school soccer game on Tuesday.

With the win, McCreary Central improved to 3-1.

Bell County stumbled to 0-2 with the loss.

McCreary Central, a girls’ high school soccer team under the direction of head coach Jennifer Stogsdill, used a balanced offensive attack to beat Bell County. Laura Hamlin, Rylie King and Bradley Powell netted one goal apiece for the Lady Raiders in the victory.

In its three wins thus far in the 2017 season, McCreary Central has outscored opponents 11-1.

The Lady Raiders are scheduled to welcome in Bell County for a home match on Sept. 12.

McCreary Central is slated to host Scott (Tenn.) on Thursday then entertain Whitley County on Saturday.

The Lady Raiders have additional regular-season games remaining versus Whitley County, Pulaski County, Casey County, Somerset, Knox Central, Clinton County, Wayne County, Lincoln County, Middlesboro, Garrard County and Southwestern.

McCreary Central will compete in the 12th District Girls’ Soccer Tournament in October.
