Raiders to host Clinton County

McCreary Central will look to break into the win column at home against visiting Clinton County on Friday, Sept. 1. The Raiders are 0-2 following back-to-back losses to Perry County Central and South Laurel.
Clinton County will carry a 2-0 record into the game. The Bulldogs have notched wins over Fort Knox Fulton County in the young 2017 high school football season.

Clinton County defeated Fort Knox 40-18 in its season opener on Aug. 18 then upended Fulton County 38-8 on the road one week later.

The Bulldogs are under the direction of head coach Jamie Miller. Through two games, Clinton County has outscored opponents 78-26.

Dylan Groce is leading Clinton County on the ground. In two games, Groce has rushed 41 times for 338 yards and three touchdowns.

Quarterback Noah Pruitt has rushed 32 times for 205 yards and five touchdowns for the Bulldogs. Through the air, Pruitt has completed 14-of-31 passes for 168 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.

Clinton County concluded the 2016 season 5-5, claiming wins over Pickett County (Tenn.), Trimble County, Caverna, Jenkins and Jackson County.
Brandon Troxell, Hunter Jones and Ryan Jones are lead McCreary Central offensively.

McCreary Central will be looking to shore up defensively. Through two games, opponents have outscored the Raiders 106-64.

Kickoff for the McCreary Central-Clinton County football game is set for 7 p.m.
