Raiders win Oneida City Park Meet

ONEIDA, Tenn. – The McCreary Central boys’ cross country team prevailed in the Oneida City Park Meet on Thursday, Aug. 31, finishing first ahead of Tennessee squads Scott and Frank White Academy.

Senior Jordan Tucker led McCreary Central, finishing second in 18:23.00.

Scott junior Tyler Little won the meet in 18:18.00.

In all, six different McCreary Central runners finished in the Top 10. One place behind Jordan Tucker, Aiden Tucker placed third in 19:24.00.

The meet featured 35 runners from three schools. McCreary Central, Scott and Frank White Academy are all familiar rivals.

Complete individual results for the McCreary Central boys’ cross country team were as follows: 2. Jordan Tucker, 18:23.00; 3. Aiden Tucker, 19:24.00; 7. Harley Waters, 20:03.00; 8. Ethan New, 20:36.00; 9. Tyler Strunk, 20:39.00; 10. Christopher Gearing, 21:06.00; 15. Zach Gibson, 23:14.00; 20. Alex Bryant, 26:09.00; 21. Dillon Vanover, 26:17.00.

The team standings were as follows: 1. McCreary Central, 29; 2. Scott, 48; 3. Frank White Academy, 52.
