Jordan Tucker leads Raiders in Bluegrass Cross Country Invitational

LEXINGTON – Jordan Tucker placed 39th in 17:59.18 to lead McCreary Central in the Bluegrass Cross Country Invitational on Saturday.
The other individual results for the McCreary Central boys’ varsity cross country team were as follows: 71. Aiden Tucker, 18:40.84; 126. Harley Waters, 19:41.91; 135. Tyler Strunk, 19:53.05; 147. Ethan New, 20:10.75; 170. Christopher Gearing, 20:38.32; 210. Zach Gibson, 22:09.60.
Cortney Phillips was the lone female from McCreary Central to compete in the Bluegrass Cross Country Invitational. Phillips placed 124th in 35:15.81.
McCreary Central finished 16th in the final team standings. The final team standings were as follows: 1. Eaton, 89; 2. Nolensville, 112; 3. Lexington Catholic, 124; 4. Conner, 131; 5. Tates Creek High School hosted the Bluegrass Cross Country Invitational.
The McCreary Central cross country program is scheduled to compete in the Southern Harrier Classic in Somerset on Saturday, Sept. 16.
