Lady Raiders Soccer blank Bell County

The McCreary Central girls’ soccer team is 6-4 through its first 10 games. The Lady Raiders earned their sixth win in the 2017 season on Monday night, blanking visiting Bell County 3-0.

Molly Phillips led McCreary Central to the win, scoring two of the Lady Raiders’ three goals. Accompanying Phillips in the McCreary Central scoring column, Makenzie Cox chipped in one goal.

Defensively for McCreary Central, goalkeeper Gabrielle Wisner held Bell County scoreless.

McCreary Central Coach Jennifer Stogsdill is pleased with her team’s performance in the first half of the 2017 season.

“This is the highest amount of wins we have ever had with 6-4 being our record so far for the year,” said Stogsdill. “All of the girls have worked very hard since Misty Hamlin, my assistant coach and I have taken over the soccer program. We are very proud of these girls and we are hoping to continue building the program.”

McCreary Central is slated to visit Casey County on Thursday, Sept. 14, Wayne County on Saturday, Sept. 16 and Whitley County on Monday, Sept. 18 before returning home to host Pulaski County on Tuesday, Sept. 12.
