Lady Raiders Soccer shut out Clinton & Wayne

The McCreary Central Lady Raiders opened the month of September with back-to-back wins, shutting out both Clinton County and Wayne County in separate girls’ high school soccer games.

McCreary Central 4, Clinton County 0: McCreary Central pulled away to defeat Clinton County 4-0 in a girls’ high school soccer game on Friday, Sept. 8. Laura Hamlin, Rylie King, Molly Phillips and Bradley Powell scored one goal apiece to lead the Lady Raiders to the victory over Clinton County.

Defensively for McCreary Central, goalkeeper Gabrielle Wisner held Clinton County scoreless.

With the win, McCreary Central evened its record to 4-4.

McCreary Central 1, Wayne County 0: McCreary Central managed to edge rival Wayne County 1-0 in a girls’ high school soccer game on Saturday, Sept. 9.

With the win over Wayne County, McCreary Central moved to 5-4.

The Lady Raiders are under the direction of head coach Jennifer Stogsdill.
