Raiders Golf up end Williamsburg

Visiting McCreary Central defeated Williamsburg 184-200 in a boys’ high school golf match on Monday.

Evan Kidd led McCreary Central with a 43. Following Kidd for the Raiders, Grant Hamner fired a 46, Riley Richmond registered a 47 and Ben Barnett turned in a 48. The scores of Kidd, Hamner, Richmond and Barnett made up McCreary Central’s team total for the match.

Sean Strunk tied Barnett, shooting a 48 of his own.

Nathaniel Griffis also competed for McCreary Central, turning in a 51.

Williamsburg had to play from behind during the boys’ high school golf match.

The Raiders and Yellow Jackets are longtime rivals.
