Lady Raider Volleyball blanks Bell County, 2-0

The Lady Raider Volleyball team swept Bell County Tuesday night for a 2-0 victory for both varsity and junior varsity.

McCreary Central blanked visiting Bell County 2-0 in a high school volleyball match on Tuesday.

With the win, McCreary Central improved to 9-13.

Bell County stumbled to 1-11 with the loss.

The Lady Raiders pulled out a hard-fought win, beating Bell County in back-to-back sets.

McCreary Central started strong. The Lady Raiders won the first set 25-18.

McCreary Central faced even more resistance in the second set. The determined Lady Raiders managed to hold on to win the second set 25-22.

McCreary Central is scheduled to host Southwestern on Thursday then entertain Clinton County on Tuesday. The Lady Raiders have additional regular-season matches remaining versus Wayne County, Russell County, Barbourville and Lynn Camp.

McCreary Central will compete in the 48th District Volleyball Tournament in October.
