McCreary Central High School Gear Up students recently toured the Tennessee College of Applied Technology – Oneida/Huntsville’s main campus. The following programs at the main campus visited were: Administrative Office Technology, Automotive Technology, Computer Information Technology, Cosmetology, Machine Tool Technology, and Welding. The pictures are (1.) of Gear Up students being informed by TCAT instructor Janet Watson concerning the Administrative Office Technology course offerings which have three diploma areas of study, (2.) two students looking at an EDM wire machine with Machine Tool Technology instructor Jarred Terry, and (3.) a student receiving instruction from Welding instructor Chris Chambers on using a virtual welder.
TCAT-Oneida/Huntsville also has an extension campus located at 180 Eli Lane in Oneida. The students were informed of the four programs offered at the extension campus – Collision Repair Technology, Pharmacy Technician, Power Line Construction & Maintenance Technology, and Practical Nursing. These students were encouraged to enroll in College after high school and further their education.
