Nine arrested in Friday night bust

While most people were avoiding travelling during Friday night’s snow event, the McCreary County Sheriff’s Department and Kentucky State Police were hard at work, arresting nine individuals at a Winding Ridge Home on drug charges.
Sheriff Randy Waters states his office received a tip as to the probable location of two suspects wanted on outstanding felony warrants. As officers approached the residence one of the individuals was spotted and officers made entry into the home, spotting the subject attempting to hide a box under a bed. After receiving permission to search the residence, officers found the box to contain approximately 4.7 grams of suspected methamphetamine. A bag of marijuana was located in another room, and scales and baggies were recovered as well.
In all nine individuals were arrested on charges of trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.
Arrested were: Charles Neal, 41, Larry Fister, 38, Rowdy Rose, 22, Anthony Perry, 39, Amy Creech, 36, Cari Cassada, 28, Ashley Correll, 32, and Holly Strunk, 28.
All were lodged in the Leslie County Detention Center.
Deputies Alex Jones, Derek Dennis and KSP Trooper D. Jones served the arrests.
