Raiders claim fourth straight tournament title in Virginia

COEBURN, Va. – The McCreary Central wrestling team traveled to Virginia to compete in the annual Coeburn Dentistry Duals Friday-Saturday. The young Raider team left MCHS with high hopes of defending the title in which it had won three straight years and managed to ultimately remain on top.
Four McCreary Central wrestlers went undefeated and the Raiders dominated throughout the day. The young McCreary Central wrestling team was able to beat Castlewood, John I Burton, Honaker, Eastside and Lee high schools to claim its fourth straight title in Virginia.
“I am so very proud of this young group,” said McCreary Central Coach Gary Parriman. “We are coming together and starting to realize the talent and ability that we have.
McCreary Central wrestlers continue to practice and prepare for upcoming postseason competition.
