Grand Jury indicts 11

Eleven individuals were indicted by the McCreary County Grand Jury this month.
Wesley Perkins, of Whitley City, was indicted on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance First Degree and Tampering with Physical Evidence for allegedly being found with a quantity of methamphetamine on January 2 and destroying, mutilating or altering physical evidence.
Mark Ball, of Pine Knot, was charged with Fraudulent Use of a Credit/Debit Card over $500 for reportedly knowingly and unlawfully using a debit card belonging to another individual without their knowledge or consent to obtain cash and merchandise of a value of $1,680.02 over a six-month period.
Adam Meadows, of Whitley City, was indicted on counts of Burglary Second Degree and Theft By Unlawful Taking for unlawfully entering a residence on January 3 and taking a television.
Meadows is also charged with being a Persistent Felony Offender after convictions in McCreary County Circuit Court in 2008 and 2015.
Jerrod Gosnell, of Whitley City was indicted on a count of Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon after reportedly being found with a handgun on October 10, 2016.
Samuel Hurd, of Parkers Lake, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance First Degree and Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon after allegedly being found with a possession of methamphetamine and a handgun on October 4, 2015.
Troy Huff, of Somerset, was indicted on a count of Bailjumping First Degree after allegedly failing to appear in McCreary County Circuit Court on felony charges pursuant to the terms of his bail bond.
Randell Bowman, of Nashville, was charged with a count of Theft by Unlawful Taking for reportedly knowingly and unlawfully taking a 2008 KIA Optima on November 10, 2017.
Jesse Iseral, of Louisville, was charged with Sodomy Third Degree for allegedly engaging in deviate sexual intercourse with an individual who was mentally incapable of making rational decisions on November 13.
Iseral was also charged with being a Persistent Felony Offender after previous convictions in McCreary County Circuit Court in 2000, 2006 and 2009.
Christopher Roberts was indicted on counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance First Degree, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia after reportedly being found on January 22 with a quantity of methamphetamine, marijuana and items commonly used for the ingestion and/or distribution of illegal controlled substances.
Charles Hoke, of Stearns, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance First Degree, Possession of Marijuana and Operating a Motor Vehicle While Under the Influence of Intoxicants for allegedly driving while under the influence on November 4 and being found with a quantity of methamphetamine and marijuana.
Kelly Roberts, of Pine Knot, was indicted on a count of Possession of a Controlled Substance First Degree for reportedly being found with a quantity of methamphetamine on December 2.
The Voice would like to remind our readers that an indictment is not an indication of one’s guilt or innocence, but represents that enough evidence exists in a case to pursue the matter in a court of law.
