The Democratic Party met on Tuesday evening, March 6, 2017 at the library and adopted a McCreary County Democratic Party Mission Statement, in an effort to grow and strengthen our base in McCreary County.
Mccreary County Democratic Party
The Democratic Party is the oldest major political party, being the party of Jackson, Jefferson, Roosevelt and Kennedy, and we believe that leadership of fairness begins with us.
The McCreary County Democratic Party believes that: Cooperation is better than conflict; Unity is better than division;Empowerment is better than resentment; andBridges are better than walls.
Our GOALS are to:Fight for economic fairness and against inequality by:Working toward a fair tax structure for all; and Extending our hand to assist in bringing jobs to our economically deprived county;
Bring Americans together and remove barriers to opportunities by guaranteeing the same rights to all people regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, religious belief or national origin;
Restore Democracy, strengthen and improve management of government by increasing the Democratic Party registration and finding candidates with the qualifications needed to meet the expectations and goals for McCreary County.
A simple but powerful idea…
Nothing can become reality without all working toward the same end and the Democratic Party stands united to put words into action.
